Southwestern Boho
I just love how this one turned out! It is available to purchase in my Etsy store.
I used the Prim and Trim transfer from IOD, the Bohemian Border transfer from IOD and also on the sides some decoupage mulberrry paper. The top drawer has a stencil on it (I think purchased at Michaels).
I first cleaned the dresser well.
It got 2 coats of Annie Sloan hornfleur paint. Before applying any transfers you want to make sure you let the paint cure for 24 hrs first. For the stencil on the top drawer I used athenian black and old white from AS.
I then applied the transfers. I used a combination of the prim and trim and the boho border transfer on the front of the drawers. If you have not used the transfers before you can watch some of my how-to videos on my YouTube channel.
For the sides I applied the mulberry decoupage paper using wallpaper glue. I just use basic wallpaper glue from Home Depot. I added the boho border transfer and some of the prim and trim transfer on the top part. You want to make sure the transfers are on really well before applying a top coat. Go over it all with your fingers pressing well or with a soft cloth pressing down everywhere.
I sealed it all with Annie Sloan clear wax and dark wax. I first put on the clear wax, waited 24 hrs and then applied dark wax. The dark wax really adds all the aging look and so much character. If you look closely at the photos you will see what I mean. If you are not familiar with waxing with AS waxes you can watch some how-to videos on my YouTube channel.
