Cream Japonica Dresser
For this one I used the Japonica image transfers across the whole front. I also used gold dust and crackling. The transfers are from Iron Orchid Designs. You can find them on Etsy or go to their website to find local retailers.
I first cleaned this really well. I then scuff sanded the wood.
Next up was painting this with Annie Sloan old ochre.
The top got some crackle using Annie Sloan craqueleur. It is a fantastic product to work with.
The sides and the edge of the top got gold leaf applied.
The transfer images are from Iron Orchid Designs and it is called japonica. I actually used two of the same transfer as this was a long piece.
It was all sealed with Annie Sloan clear wax. I applied 2 coats.
Some of the top images got gold dust on them. I use mica powder for that. Clear wax and then the gold dust. It just adds a nice touch of glamour.
I have lots of how to videos on my YouTube channel on working with transfers, wax, paint, etc.

See how the mica powder adds such a nice touch of bling?
