Coral and peach boho dresser
I always start my pieces by cleaning them well first. Then they get scuff sanded and/or clear shellac. The scuff sanding happens if there is any shine to the piece. Almost all my furniture gets a coat of clear shellac before painting.
I think my favorite colors to work with on furniture are corals. There are many different shades and it combines so well with pinks and yellows.
I used Annie Sloan scandinavian pink for the base of this but used so many other colors too. A variety of paints, in different shades of peaches and corals and oranges. The darker red/orange is Shaw Red from Amy Howard paint. The gold is Modern Masters gold metallic paint. The flower images are from the Prima redesign transfer Rose Celebration. You want to make sure you wait at least 24 hrs after the paint, before putting on the transfers. I have vidoes you can watch on my YouTube channel on applying transfers.
I sealed it all with Annie Sloan clear wax. You could also use Modern Masters dead flat varnish if you didn't want to use wax. I find wax is the best topcoat though.
You can learn how to do this buy watching the tutorial on this piece. It is available through my Etsy store. I show how I created this piece. I do have a lot of free videos though on my YouTube channel showing many techniques.
This one ended up being purchased for a baby's nursery. My furniture ships all through the US.
