Shabby chic buffet

Another french provincial buffet. I love the french provincial style so much! Nothing like those curves and the hardware! This piece was previously a light gray. I just painted over it all with pure white (AS) and then did some distressing so the gray would show through on the doors and a little bit on the drawers. I did extra distressing here and there so the wood would show through also. I used a 220 grit sandpaper and also used an electric sander in some areas. Sometimes you need the sander to achieve that certain look. The hand sanding doesn't quite work. The hardware is painted gray and white. Sealed with clear wax.

The top I sanded down to raw wood. I just love the grain pattern on this piece! I white waxed the top. I wanted to leave it as simple as possible but wanted a bit of white to the grain so sealing with white wax does that. I applied 2 coats. I love it now!
