Lace Dresser
I've gotten a few suggestions from friends and family to do a lace dresser so I finally did one. Except I couldn't bring myself to do it the way that was suggested - with lace and spray paint. It just seems so wrong to use spray paint. So I found a beautiful lace stencil to use instead. I rolled the paint on with a small roller. First though you have to roll some of the paint off the roller before applying the roller to the furniture. Otherwise it will be uneven and too gloppy. After applying the stencil I went back with some sandpaper and sanded off some of the paint to make it look more aged and distressed. I love this stencil so I think I am going to use it again! This was all sealed with Modern Masters varnish. The paint I used was Annie Sloan paint - a mix of colors.
